The main attraction of the region is the Massanjore dam, popularly known as the Canada Dam, Around 50,000 acres of agrarian land is irrigated with the help of water coming from this dam. The dam was constructed with the motive to generate hydroelectric power,  built on the Mayurakshi River which attracts tourists all through the year. The premises around the dam are dotted with eating joints and there are two guest houses on top of the hill with a panoramic view of the entire dam. Earlier days, this was one of the favourite outdoor shooting locations for Tollywood films when the upkeep was better and the crowds less. Explore the exquisite natural surrounding of  Massanjore by enjoying a leisurely walk throughout the region. You can also visit the nearby picturesque villages inhabited by the tribals and I suggest you to visit Bakreshwar, highly famed for hot spring.

It is situated between Seorakuri and Dumka Road 2 km from Ranibahal. There are many costly machines within the bridge. Though the dam is in Jharkhand, it was made by West Bengal govt. Water of Massanjore flows the path called Mayurakshi River and water stored at Tilpara barrage for cultivation.
